Shape Safari is developed by Timothy Bas as a calm, distraction-free puzzle game for toddlers and young children (ages 2–5). We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of young children and giving parents complete peace of mind.

1. Summary — 100% Private and Child-Safe

  • No Personal Data Collected: We do not collect, store, share, or transmit any personal information, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or photos.
  • No Tracking or Device Identifiers: We do not use IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers), vendor identifiers, or device fingerprints.
  • No Third-Party Advertising: There are zero third-party ads in Shape Safari. No banner ads, no popups, no interstitial videos.
  • No Analytics SDKs: Shape Safari does not include third-party analytics or tracking frameworks.
  • No Social Logins or User Accounts: The app does not require registration, login, or accounts.
  • 100% Offline Gameplay: Puzzles and game progress are stored strictly on the local device using standard iOS local storage (UserDefaults). No internet connection is required to play.

2. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) & GDPR-K Compliance

Shape Safari strictly complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation for Kids (GDPR-K):

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
  • All commercial and settings features (including In-App Purchases and settings toggles) are placed strictly behind a toddler-proof Parental Gate requiring arithmetic verification by an adult.
  • There are no external web links or social media integrations accessible without passing the Parental Gate.

3. In-App Purchases (StoreKit 2)

Shape Safari provides a single, optional, non-consumable in-app purchase (shape_safari_full_unlock) to unlock the full collection of animal puzzles.

  • Transactions are processed directly by Apple via StoreKit 2 using your Apple ID account.
  • We never receive, store, or process your credit card numbers, billing details, or payment credentials.
  • In-app purchases support Apple Family Sharing, allowing all family members to share the purchase at no additional charge.

4. Data Storage and Retention

  • Game Progress: Star collection counts and completed puzzle states are saved locally on the user’s device.
  • Reset Option: Parents can reset all game progress at any time within the Parent Dashboard under “Reset Safari Progress”.
  • Uninstalling the app completely removes all locally stored game progress from the device.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we update our Privacy Policy, the revised policy will be posted here with an updated “Last Updated” date. Any changes will adhere strictly to our commitment to child privacy and Apple’s Kids Category requirements.
